Position Title: Education Coordinator  Department: Community Engagement
Pay Grade:
$15/hour   Reports To: Community Manager & Senior Pastor
Position Status:
Part Time (15-20 hr/week)



Coordinator provides leadership in the design, implementation, coordination, facilitation and evaluation of the Bridges Tutoring Program. The coordinator works collaboratively with the tutors, students, teachers and parents. Assesses the curriculum, practices, and general academic standards. Creates schedule to reflect breaks, field trips and activities for the academic year (Sept.-May) as it relates to tutoring. Infuses and builds empowerment character traits into a K-12 tutoring curriculum. Also, researches and offers options for summer enrichment camps in the metro Milwaukee area.



Training includes: a history of Bridges Tutoring, what, why and value of program, fostering discipline, cultural diversity, and numerous strategies to build a sense of community, motivation, and achievement in academics. Coordinate activities and mentoring for tutors with students. Delivers lessons & academic plans for student/tutor. Provides ongoing consultation and follow-up training upon request. Previews and evaluates various education resources. Coordinates and facilitates tutor training and meetings quarterly.
