Office Staff

Madeleine Crop

Madeleine Turner

Madeleine comes to us with a wide range of skills, including education in nursing and communication from UWM and Organizational Leadership through Professional Studies at Marquette University.  Her work history includes over 30 years of diversity and anti-racism commitment, and strong skills in Human Resources coordination and management in both nonprofit organizations and for-profit companies.  In addition, Madeleine
first became familiar with Cross through her membership and leadership in the Lutheran Human Relations Association.

A woman of faith for her entire life, this is Madeleine's second position as Administrative Assistant within a church. She has also volunteered her services helping in the office at her own church home, All Saints Cathedral on East Juneau, where she serves as Verger during services -- which includes leading the processions on Sundays, Feast Days, and other celebrations, and recruiting potential vergers.

Jesse Kozel

JJesseKozelesse describes himself as a compassionate Child of God and a Student of life, a lover, dreamer and peacemaker. He feels called to be a caregiver, ministering love and visiting the sick.  As part of this, he is a member, Council secretary and LGBTQ Committee chair at Spirit of Peace Church. He loves music, drums, and is a singer/songwriter in his spare time. He is a Diakonia program grad, Youth and Family Ministry program grad, has worked with All Peoples' KWTS program and other youth and confirmation groups. Jesse also works as administrative assistant and (unofficial) pastoral assistant at King of Glory Church in Greenfield.  He is a co-leader/advocate of special needs group: Aspergers Empowerment group. He also volunteers at at Tricklebee Cafe.  But above all, he has a heart for those on the margins in life...particularly LGBTQ folks and those with special needs. And as to what's ahead?  He wonders, "Future seminarian, chaplain, pastor?"  But perhaps above all (for now), Jesse is an all-around nice guy.
